North American Properties officials met with members of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to celebrate the initial step of progress in late August. Avenue East Cobb will now be called “AEC” and will create a “downtown” experience the area has been missing. NAP has been the developer behind several Mix-use developments across the metro Atlanta area. Some of their work includes Atlantic Station, the Avalon development, and Colony Square.

This 23,000 square-foot project aims to create a more inviting outdoor lifestyle designed with an 8,000-square-foot plaza surrounded by restaurants, patios, and a raised stage, where several events are expected to be held annually. Connected to the proposed plaza space, a 500-square-foot concierge building will offer “access to resort-level services.”
