Atlanta’s Midtown Skyline — Reaching New Heights

by EV Atlanta

It’s no doubt that Atlanta has attracted many high-profile companies over the last decade and this growth pattern doesn’t seem to be slowing any time soon. Midtown Atlanta specifically has gained an undeniable allure for many reasons including its proximity to Georgia Tech’s candidate pool, access to the Southeast’s largest airport and MARTA, and the unprecedented lifestyle afforded to residents right at their doorstep. Midtown is consistently upping the ante in regard to its robust lifestyle offerings, especially with its expansion of retail, housing, and entertainment districts.

Colony Square, a Midtown hotspot, recently underwent a make-over adding a range of lifestyle additions to the Midtown area. From an open green space for Wednesday night yoga, to dining options from multiple regions, you can find all of this within the 700,000 square-foot renovation of the thriving mixed-use space.

Coming Soon to Midtown

In the Planning Phase

Indications in many recent releases indicate that the rapidly developing Midtown skyline could add four more brand-new high-rises soon, that will even further redefine the skyline. Ranging from 26-61 stories, the proposed projects will continue to bring high profile companies to Atlanta, thus continuing its growth trajectory from a relocator standpoint.

Spring Quarter

Perched atop the highest point in midtown sits another one of Atlanta’s newest mixed-use developments, the Spring Quarter by Portman Holdings. The first phase of this mixed-use space will consist of 370 residential spaces and 11,000 square feet of retail space. 1020 Sprint, the 25-story office space, will be located just northwest of the residential space, and a 225-key hotel is planned for a future phase.

The Spring Quarter by Portman Holdings is just the tip of ice berg for what is in the pipeline for Midtown. Midtown Alliance has recently announced that 17 projects are currently under construction around the 1.2 mile radius, that we will provide updates on periodically.
