Phipps Plaza Makeover

by EV Atlanta

Attention Buckhead dwellers, the streets of Buckhead will be welcoming their latest multidimensional expansion that will “redefine the future of modern luxury” at the Phipps Plaza mall. Signage has recently gone up for the Nobu Hotel, and we are anxious to see what else this expansion has in store for us. Nobu Hotel and Restaurant is on pace to open in late summer of this year. This innovative hotel plans to fuse two concepts into a single exceptional experience that will include 150 rooms, a rooftop pool, spa and office tower. The restaurant will be settled in a 10,000 square foot space, featuring awe- inspiring Japanese delicacies.

Nobu is a brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. This brand has expanded in recent years; however, this will be the first location in Atlanta, and will surely accelerate into a newly desired F&B hot spot once delivered. It is described as a local experience with “modern luxury and minimal Japanese tradition” that transcend into stunning spaces.

The Nobu Hotel and Restaurant are both part of a wide-ranging redevelopment at Phipps Plaza. The former Belk department store was bulldozed to pave way for a “major new mixed-use development”, which includes a 13-story office building, food hall called Citizens, and a Lifetime athletic club.

What does the following have to do with this article? You need to tie it in somehow:

The Citizens Culinary market will offer sit-down dining and pick up in 24,000-sqaure-foot space. The space will feature popular brands from C3 by Sam Nazarian. C3 is “disrupting the food & beverage industry and reshaping the future of foodservice through its portfolio of digital kitchens, virtual and full-service culinary brands, and lifestyle food halls.”

The 13-story office building and multi-faceted mixed use, work-live-play destination is said to revolutionize the workplace as we know it, as we’ve been seeing take place across the city in recent years. Cheers to Buckhead continuing the trend.
