OTP Atlanta residents, prepare yourself. Dunwoody is primed to begin its latest expansion with a $2-billion, transit-connected megaproject that will go down as one of the most transformative projects in the history of the area.

Phase One of the construction has already begun and is being led by GID Development Group, one of the country’s leading real estate developers. Spanning 36+ acres, the equivalent of 10 blocks, phase one will include roughly 600 luxury apartments, 150,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, community green area, 90,000 square feet of office space, a water feature, and much more.

The second phase of the project plans to expand the office space, as well as add a hotel, more shops, restaurants, and residential units. Although the development has only just begun construction, the anchor tenant for the High Street has already been announced. Announced in September, Puttshack, who recently opened their first Atlanta location at the Interlock, is projected to occupy a 26,000 square feet space by 2023.

According to James Linsley, the president of GID Development Group, the goal for this mixed- use development is to create a social hub where people can enjoy a wide-range of activities, shops, and dining destinations in a more centralized location that acts as a “downtown” for the Perimeter Center area.
