12th and Everything is Making Progress in Midtown
Across the street from Piedmont Parks’ main entrance Skate Escape, a roller skate and skateboard shop, has been calling Atlanta home since 1979. After being offered for-sale in recent years, the long-standing business is in the process of being fully revamped.

The Skate Escape building and what used to be part of the business, immediately adjacent to the brick structure, is being adapted into a “business that melds outdoor dining with retail and conference spaces”, according to Midtown Alliance. The business will be called 12th & Everything.

The re-design of the 2,315 square-foot building will include a restaurant downstairs and an 800 square-foot terrace with a gable-covered bar that will overlook the infamous park. Plans call for a third DAS BBQ location in Atlanta that will add to the Midtown roster of restaurants. Some of the recent additions include Shake Shack and Willy’s Mexicana Grill. Neighboring this building, the 1094 building will be fully renovated into a 1,486 square foot retail and conference space featuring the Skate Escape and a new coffee shop called PMA Coffee. The two structures will be connected by a canopy and landscaping improvements for the perfect mixed use experience.
