Jimmy Hawbaker is the accomplished Managing Broker and co-leader of the Davis and Hawbaker Team, the newest at Engel & Völkers Atlanta, showcasing seven years of invaluable experience in the real estate industry, where he specializes in new development and resale in Metro Atlanta.
Jimmy's career journey began when he established an Income Tax business at the young age of 19, demonstrating early entrepreneurial spirit. By 24, he had successfully sold the business and transitioned to a role at the Georgia Department of Revenue in the Sales Tax Department. His dedication and expertise eventually led him to become a licensed CPA, working in a public accounting firm as a business assurance associate. Here, he honed his skills in Financial Statement Audits, taxes, risk assessments, acquisitions, and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.
Despite his successful career in accounting, Jimmy felt a calling for real estate. Balancing his roles, he obtained his real estate license and, three years later, his broker's license, which ultimately led him to establish his own real estate brokerage. Jimmy currently stands as a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Cobb Board of REALTORS®, and The National Association of REALTORS®. He aims to provide exceptional customer service, extensive knowledge, and strategic guidance with his clients' best interests at the forefront.
Originally born in Kansas City, MO, and current resident of Canton, GA, Jimmy has a particular fondness for the Bridgemill neighborhood due to its abundant amenities, activities, and proximity to Lake Allatoona. His commitment to family is evident, being a loving husband and a father to two children, Cayden (age 7) and Haylee (age 6). Outside of the professional realm, Jimmy enjoys spending his time on the golf course and tennis courts or engaging in lakeside sports.
With growth that continues to surpass national benchmarks, Engel & Völkers remains a proven leader in sales performance across global markets.
