Julian Rather is an Associate Broker at Engel & Völkers. He has 20 years of Real Estate experience, dedicating his career to guiding his clients and protecting their interests in what is for most people the most significant financial decision of their lives. As a lifetime member of The Million Dollar Club, he is committed to providing his clients insights that are critical to making a truly informed Real Estate purchase.
Julian has served his clients interests by consulting with financial institutions, attorneys, inspectors, engineers and builders to give his clients a detailed analysis of budgets, reserve funds, condominium declarations, engineering surveys, and the developer’s history on many condominium properties in the Atlanta metropolitan area. He served as the president of three condominium Associations: The Dakota, Hanover House at Colony Square, and South Park Lofts.
Julian, with his business partner Jeremy Smith, joined Engel & Völkers Atlanta in April 2019. They immediately opened their new Intown Advisors team office at Plaza Towers Condominium (2575 Peachtree Road Suite #302). Julian, along with Jeremy, was the top producing team — with over $12 million in sales — in 2018 at his previous brokerage. In 2019 Julian and Jeremy were the top producing Real Estate team at Engel & Völkers Atlanta, office, which ranked number six in total production out of 200 offices in North America.
Julian and Jeremy Smith have worked together for the past eight years and have a business that is rooted in client referrals. While their business has focused on condominiums, they have represented buyers and sellers in single-family homes from the $300,000 up to $1.7 million. Both Julian and Jeremy are thrilled to be part of the Engel & Völkers Atlanta team and to have access to the multiple marketing and social media platforms that the company provides for them and their clients. In 2013, Julian was awarded the Phoenix Award for multi-million dollar sales performance from The Atlanta Board of Realtors. Additionally, he has earned certifications as an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), New Construction Specialist (CSP) and Accredited REO Specialist (AREO-PRO).
Julian started his real estate career in 2000, after over 20 years of corporate sales experience in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry. His corporate clients include L.L. Bean, Lands End and Orvis. Julian was involved in the manufacturing apparel business in Mexico, El Salvador and Hong Kong. He worked in New York City, San Francisco, Orlando and Atlanta during his corporate years. Currently, Julian lives at Colony House Condominium in Midtown and has a home on Lake Oconee for the past 25 years.

London England. I still have family (Sisters and a Brother, nieces & nephews) that I visit with a couple of times a year.
LOVE ABOUT REAL ESTATE
Two things primarily, the “constants" like ethics, clear communications, detailed evaluation of a property and the continual “changes" like enhanced video formats (l3-D tours, virtual staging), contract forms and new condominium projects.
FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD
Where I have lived for most of my time in Atlanta, Midtown/Ansley Park @ Colony Square. You can’t beat the location for walkability, access to Marta, Arts, restaurants and Piedmont Park. The about to be completed complete reimagining of Colony Square is something I am really looking forward to.

There are many of them, but the ones that come to mind first and foremost involve the success and professionalism demonstrated by the agents that I have had the opportunity to mentor and assist at the outset of their Real Estate careers. I take real pride in their ongoing successes, accomplishments and contributions to our industry.
DISTINGUISHED
First there are some incredible agents out there, and I have been very fortunate to have developed some very close business relationships both inside and outside of our brokerage over my 20 years in this industry. I have some very close, long time personal friends who are with other brokerages, and each has their own approach to this business. While we sell a bunch of single family homes, I really like our focus on the condominium marketplace (I have served as President of three Condominium Associations) and getting into the detailed analysis of budgets, reserve funds and declarations to truly inform our buyer clients on their purchase options.
