The Best of 2021

UNRIVALED GROWTH

This year we have experienced exponential growth for our agents individually and as a company .  In 2021 alone, Engel & Völkers Atlanta saw a 133% increase in brokerage listings from the previous year and sold exponentially more homes than ever before – a 57% increase in sales volume year-over-year. Our integrated marketing approach and ability to adapt to market conditions has enabled the brokerage to sell over 15% of their listings asking price, positioning our sellers to receive even greater returns on their investments.

As a result, 33% of our agents doubled their business, 22% tripled, and 16% quadrupled. With the increase in business came dozens of record-breaking sales, listings, and achievements, including but not conclusive of the following:

Ken Covers: Highest sale in Morningside 2021 – 1664 West Sussex Rd.

Hanne Marie: Highest sale in Ansley Park 2021 – 70 Maddox Dr.

Susie Proffitt: Highest PPSF in Midtown 2021 – 40 West 12th

Hanne Marie: Highest SFH sales price in Midtown 2021 – 788 Penn Ave.

LaDana Carter: Highest Priced Sale in Ponecy-Highland 2021 – 1028 North Ave.

Christin Coffin: Highest Sales Price in Lake Lanier 2021 – 7860 Chestnut Hill Rd.

Lukas Babusak: Highest Sales Price in Snellville 2021 – 4527 Shiloh Ridge Tr.

Through all of the dedicated efforts of our agents, our support staff, and leadership spearheading innovative techniques to better serve our clients as a whole, our brokerage was recognized in a multitude of areas that we are humbly elated to acknowledge. Engel & Völkers stood as the #1 brokerage for new construction contracts and sales across the entire Atlanta market, as a whole, for the second year in a row. Beyond that, the brokerage remained a leader in 30363 for all metrics and in 30309 for number of homes sold, yielding the largest sales volume growth of all brokerages across the city in a year-over-year comparison.

TREND-SETTING DEVELOPER SERVICES APPROACH

In addition to our achievements in the residential market, our Developer Services division experience substantial success we are proud to recognize as well. Atlantic, the consistent, crowned icon in the Atlanta skyline stood as the fastest selling condominium for the second year in a row in the Midtown community with their exponential sales velocity. In addition, the emerging 40 West 12th Midtown condominium community developed by Selig Enterprises and Rockefeller Group sold the highest price per square foot residence seen across Midtown in all of history at over $1,000/sf with a $2.8M sale.

Although life may have slowed in the midst of the pandemic’s reemergence, our developer services acquisition momentum certainly did not. Our Developer Services team rounded out 2021 with 6 successful project launches (Downing Park, Interlock, Vernon Ormewood, Enclave at Peachtree Memorial, J5, & Towns at Laurel Ridge), and ten community close-outs (550 N Highland, Plateau West, Madison Yards, Oak Crossing), thanks to our dedicated on-site advisors making each home buyer their priority over the past 12 months and beyond.

MORE THAN JUST REAL ESTATE

Engel & Völkers continued onward with a benevolent approach to supporting our community through city-wide philanthropic efforts. Together we supported a multitude of causes, including Meals on Wheels where we delivered over 5,000 meals, faced the icy waters of the Polar Plunge to raise $32,000 for the Special Olympics, collected hundreds of toys for Mark Carroll & Friends Annual Toy Drive, supported Toys for Tots, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Historic Oakland Foundation, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  Real estate about so much more than helping someone find their dream home; it’s about being a helpful and loving patron to the community and seeing our success in happiness of those living in it. We are grateful to play a role in the overarching goals of each of these organizations and look forward to furthering our partnerships in exponential ways over the coming years.

More than our achievements in sales and growth, we are most grateful for the time we were able to spend with those in our Engel & Völkers Atlanta family, supporting each other and thriving, and helping our community bloom from all perspectives. Whether it’s assisting someone in finding their first home or tenth home, the value in our efforts lies in the overwhelming gratitude and feedback from the people we guide in one of the biggest decisions they will ever make. The friends we make, the relationships we build, and the moments we cherish are the driving force behind our successes at Engel & Volkers Atlanta.

Here, family is everything. From our various gatherings in and out of office to project grand openings, holiday parties, philanthropic involvement, and many other countless memories, we are so lucky to have such incredible group of people that make up our advisors and staff.   Our unrivaled company culture and collective drive continuously propel us to look forward into 2022 and strive for continued excellence.
